Key concepts of the Open Timecard
The Open Timecard is a full-featured PCIe form factor IEEE-1588 PTP Grandmaster Clock.
You can operate the card as a standalone unit or integrate it with the host device for an even more powerful grandmaster clock.
The Open Timecard can distribute PTP, NTP, SyncE and Frequency.
The brains of the operation are the CM4 or CM5 on the board, and typically, the clock system configuration is dealt with using the Timebeat config file.
Below are some defaults that are helpful to know.
IP address is: 10.101.101.123

Config location: /etc/timebeat/timebeat.yml
OS: Linux
External Interface ID: eth0 both ports
Host device interface ID: ensX (typically ens1)
